The Heart Gallery of North Texas partners with WFAA to spotlight children in foster care, sharing their stories in hopes that each child’s greatest wish—a loving, forever family—will come true.
The Wednesday’s Child segments offer more than just a glimpse into a child’s background—they bring each child’s personality to life. Through the power of video storytelling, each child is given the chance to be more than a profile—they become real, vibrant individuals. Whether it’s a love of animals, a talent for drawing, a contagious laugh, or a quiet determination, these moments help reveal who the child truly is. You’ll see them doing what they love, exploring their interests, playing, and simply being themselves.
For many of these children, being featured on Wednesday’s Child is the first time they’ve had a moment in the spotlight—where the focus is on what makes them special, not their past. It’s a powerful reminder that every child deserves a chance to shine, and more importantly, a chance to be chosen, cherished, and loved.
If you have an approved home study, email us to express interest in a featured child. Please include the child’s name in the subject line of your message.

Our Wednesday’s Child segments are filmed at local, family-friendly businesses, featuring children from the Heart Gallery. Partnering with community businesses helps us create a fun, comfortable setting where kids can be themselves—and helps raise awareness about the urgent need for foster care and adoption.
Once a segment airs on TV, it’s posted on our Heart Gallery website and linked to the child’s profile. Past segments are also available on the TV station’s website, extending the reach and helping these children find forever families.
