Jonathan from Texas

Jonathan is a kind and friendly little boy. He has many interests and enjoys art, riding his bike, swimming in the summer, and making slime. He actively participates in school and his teachers say Jonathan is one of their favorite students. Jonathan has even been named student of the month multiple times! He is a spontaneous and funny boy who enjoys learning new things. Being his own person is one of Jonathan's stand-out traits! He has no trouble making friends or meeting new people. Jonathan loves to help out at home. He particularly enjoys helping prepare meals in the kitchen. Jonathan enjoys outings to the park, the library, and gym. He looks forward to the opportunity to play a team sport. Jonathan typically responds and behaves well to caregivers. He is strengthening his coping strategies.

Jonathan will do well in a home with an active daily schedule. He will be most successful in a home where he is the only child or where there are only one or two other children. Jonathan thrives with individual attention and does not do well with the chaotic nature of a home with a lot of other children. He needs parents who can monitor him to ensure his safety. They will be patient and provide him with encouragement when he does something well, but also hold him accountable when he breaks a rule. He would love to have a family who will provide him opportunities to build his self-confidence.
